Vice President, Finance

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Vice-President, Finance on a permanent basis at our Home Office located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

What you'll do :

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to the strategic direction and leadership of Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL), its subsidiaries and related companies (the "Enterprise").

1. Business Leadership: You will collaboratively lead the Finance business unit to ensure value for the local co-ops and the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS). This includes cultivating collaborative relationships with local co-ops and fostering productive relationships with business and local communities.
2. People Leadership: You will provide leadership as a strong advocate and role model for FCL's values, vision, mission, brand and Co-op's Employee Experience (You're at Home Here).
3. Executive Leadership: You will provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the Finance Business Unit, which includes Accounting, Finance & Systems, Capital Optimization, Audit Services and Growth & Business Development.
4. Business Management: You will lead strategic business planning, risk management, goal setting, branding, and talent management processes within the Finance Business Unit. Collaboratively work with all Business Units in collectively enhancing relationships with local co-ops.
5. Innovation: You will provide leadership, oversight and executive sponsorship to key strategic projects and initiatives that support and enable the Finance Business Unit as a trusted business partner to its varied customers and stakeholders, most specifically member local co-ops. Lead and foster new collaborative ideas to improve the Enterprise and local co-op business.
6. Risk Management: You will provide leadership to the Enterprise in the identification, assessment and potential mitigation of key business risks including (but not limited to) commodity price risks, interest rate risks, foreign exchange risks, regulatory changes and CRS unity risks.

Who you are :

You are looking for a career in Executive Leadership and :

1. You have a university degree in Business or Commerce (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
2. Have a professional Accounting Designation (CPA).
3. You have a minimum of 10 years of related and progressive experience, with a minimum of 5 years at an Organization Leader level or equivalent.
4. You're honest, trustworthy, and results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
5. You believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.
