Job Description
We are seeking a Vice President, Enterprise Information Security to join our team in Toronto or Winnipeg. Aligned with the Chief Information Office, as Vice President, Enterprise Information Security, you are a senior leader supporting enterprise, solution, security, data, and infrastructure architecture domains. You will provide leadership in planning, developing, directing, and operating an innovative, trusted, and reliable information security program to support the confidentiality and integrity of systems, assets, and data of People Corp. You will lead the security team, including staff responsible for identity and access management, risk, and security operations.
The Vice President, Enterprise Information Security will:
- Establish the information security governance structure by implementing a hierarchical governance program, including chairing the information security steering committee.
- Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program, including enhancing cybersecurity awareness training for all stakeholders.
- Create and improve an information security management framework to reduce organizational risk during regular operations and transformation projects.
- Collaborate with business units to facilitate risk assessments and management processes, empowering teams to understand and own their risk levels.
- Develop, socialize, and coordinate approval and implementation of security policies, reporting progress to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership. Build internal relationships to demonstrate value and ensure consistent application of policies and standards across all technology projects, systems, and services, including privacy, risk management, compliance, and business continuity.
- Coordinate with vendor management to include security requirements in contracts.
- Build and maintain external networks with industry peers, partners, vendors, and relevant parties to address trends, incidents, and cybersecurity risks.
- Engage with external agencies such as law enforcement to ensure a strong security posture and stay informed of threats.
- Align security with enterprise architecture by working with the architecture team to ensure security requirements are integrated by design.
- Monitor emerging threats and advise stakeholders on appropriate actions.
- Lead and motivate the security team to achieve strategic and tactical goals.

All-star candidates will have:
- At least 8 years of experience in Information Security with a strong background in Technology and Risk Management.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior management role leading security teams.
- Experience with frameworks like ISO/IEC 27001 and NIST.
- A degree in business administration, technology, or equivalent experience.
- Additional credentials such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC are advantageous.
