Job Description

Reporting to the President of Groupe Autoforce, the Vice President of Finance / Controller will be responsible for the financial management of Groupe Autoforce and the accounting operations of three of our dealerships.

They will lead a team composed of three controllers and several accounting professionals, ensuring the implementation of rigorous financial controls, compliance with legal obligations, and continuous improvement of the group’s financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Groupe Autoforce’s financial operations
• Manage cash flow and liquidity
• Handle relationships with banks, investors, auditors, etc.
• Supervise tax planning, compliance, and risk management
• Negotiate and manage contractual purchases such as group insurance and theft/fire insurance
• Ensure legal compliance, including Law 25 and corporate francization regulations
• Collaborate closely with the executive team and dealership management to maximize financial performance
• Oversee dealership controllers and ensure consistency in processes

As the Controller for Three Dealerships, They Will Also:

• Supervise and mentor a team of five accounting clerks
• Manage the full accounting cycle, including month-end and year-end closings, journal entries, invoicing, and reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and operational reports
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and asset protection

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a financial controller (experience in automotive dealerships is a major asset)
• Experience in cash flow and financial risk management
• Excellent command of accounting tools and software
• Strong team spirit and excellent communication skills
• Experience in team management
• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Bilingual (French and English)
