We are seeking a Vice President, Distribution Operations to lead our distribution functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for end-to-end distribution operations, including design, construction, control centre, power system event management, grid response, technology, automation, streetlighting, and metering.
2. Manage relationships and performance across safety, standards, quality, budget, and resources, fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
3. Lead safety, productivity, and technology improvements, including root cause analysis for reliability and quality issues.
4. Oversee operations related to streetlighting and metering, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and meeting standards.
5. Develop and mentor a diverse leadership team, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
6. Manage external vendor relationships and oversee outsourcing processes.

Requirements

1. Undergraduate degree in Engineering or relevant technical field; a combination of education and utility experience may be considered.
2. At least 15 years of experience in electrical utility operations, with 10+ years in progressive leadership roles.
3. Preferred: P.Eng registration in Ontario, Master’s degree in Business or Engineering.
4. Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic partnership development, and senior leadership communication.
5. Strong knowledge of utility sector operations, financial management, crisis leadership, and team development.
6. Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and performance management skills.
7. Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, innovation, and sustainability.
