Job Description:

Global Transaction Banking ("GTB") is comprised of four business lines: Treasury Solutions, Financial Institutions, Global Trade Finance and Export Agency Finance. Support functions include: Credit Structuring, Product Strategy and Innovation, Business Intelligence and Business Risk / Control.

GTB is a key growth business within TDS offering innovative solutions and treasury advisory services on large and complex liquidity, payments and trade needs. GTB is highly integrated within TDS and TD Bank Financial Group and works in close partnership with Risk, Operations, Legal, GAML, and Treasury and Balance Sheet Management.

Treasury Solutions provides treasury management products to Canadian public companies and the subsidiaries of global multi-nationals. Treasury management consists of the collection, disbursement and management of money, and the related information technology required to implement this. Treasury Solutions provides the linkages between these large corporate clients and the global payments system, through a variety of technology-based products, supported by high caliber sales and execution personnel. Each client typically receives a bespoke solution that allows their systems to connect with those of TD, to facilitate money movement on an automated basis. We have teams throughout Canada and the U.S. and call on clients around the world.

The Deposits Portfolio Management (DPM) Team manages the Net Interest Income (NII) of the GTB Treasury Solutions deposits portfolio. We perform this mandate across various pillars that touch on Pricing, Revenue Processes (FTP), Analytics, and Reporting for all Corporate, Government, FI, and Institutional clients of Treasury Solutions. Additionally, we act as SMEs on macro variables, interest rates, Liquidity Adequacy Requirements (LAR), money market from a perspective that impacts the pillars noted above. Further, we advocate on behalf of Treasury Solution's deposits to internal stakeholders.

The VP Deposits Portfolio Management (DPM) is a key member of the DPM team and overall Treasury Solutions team and will report directly to VP Deposits Portfolio Management. The VP DPM will be a catalyst in defining pricing strategies, pricing tactics, and developing and implementing a suite of reporting and analytics that monitors performance and generates actionable insights to drive business performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, set, and monitor client and product level pricing for various liquidity products
  • Lead the execution of customized and real-time pricing in close partnership with relationship managers
  • Be an expert on FTP processes and act as liaison with Treasury to integrate FTP frameworks, liquidity contingencies, and hedging into pricing
  • Stay current of market pricing, competitive research on corporate deposits, and research on pricing practices
  • Define objectives and KPIs for business performance and measure results against KPIs and objectives
  • Perform analysis of profitability at a client, product, and portfolio level
  • Through ongoing research initiatives, provide actionable insights and market intelligence on deposit and liquidity management topics
  • Create and manage the ongoing suite of descriptive analytics reporting to support pricing, client, product, and deposit strategy
  • Create and manage the ongoing suite of prescriptive analytics to support scenario analysis and forecasting NII drivers
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure effective data provisioning and management to support descriptive and prescriptive analytic needs

Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field. Graduate degree in a quantitative field or professional designation preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Treasury Solutions, pricing related roles, corporate and institutional deposits, or asset and liability management
  • Expert in deposit product offerings and designing pricing strategies and tactics
  • Good grasp of asset and liability management concepts and fixed income (hedging, bond ladders, derivatives)
  • Excellent relationship skills to manage RM engagements, client discussions on pricing or deposit related topics, and engagements with internal stakeholders
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize and execute projects that integrate to the team's strategic mandate
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information and distill down concepts to generate actionable insights
  • An ability to present ideas to senior leaders in an informed and meaningful manner that leads to business results.
  • An ability to think strategically and understand the impact of the team in the broader business
