Job description

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Customer Operations, the Vice President, Customer Strategy is a dynamic people leader and brand advocate, responsible for leading innovative marketing and category management strategies to enhance the overall customer experience and drive revenue growth and expansion online and across the retail network. While promoting NSLC’s corporate social responsibility mandate, the Vice President is accountable for identifying, executing and championing ongoing customer experience initiatives through engaged and personalized experiences to properly position NSLC’s brand, products and people and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction results.

Leading a talented customer strategy team, the Vice President leverages analytics and insights across marketing, merchandising, category management, and network planning activities and has a deep understanding of the customer and market trends to influence strategy, innovation and identify further opportunities for growth. They are responsible for developing meaningful relationships with industry and business partners to proactively understand issues, cultivate trust, transparency and extend influence and support.

The successful candidate has an undergraduate degree in commerce or a related field, coupled with at least 8 years of leadership experience spent in complex consumer driven or multi-stakeholder environments. The Vice President has prior experience leveraging consumer insights, industry trends and creating category management and marketing strategies and initiatives to drive customer experience excellence and growth. They understand the evolving retail environment and ideally bring digital and physical channel optimization experience to their role. The Vice President has a track record for setting clear priorities in support of organizational goals and using appropriate key performance indicators to measure results.
