Job description

What is the opportunity? You will manage and develop a team of credit professionals responsible for a portfolio of credit relationships within designated industry sectors. You will oversee administrative tasks for your team's portfolio and foster relationships with key internal stakeholders to support RBC Capital Markets' growth. Key stakeholders include: Corporate Banking (CB), Group Risk Management (GRM), Global Markets (GM), Global Loans Administration (GLA), and Global Banking Service Centre (GBSC).

What will you do?
  1. Manage Annual Reviews: Ensure timely completion of reviews, maintain high-quality work, and identify learning opportunities.
  2. Data Integrity: Ensure credit agreement terms are accurately reflected in systems and all documentation is reviewed promptly.
  3. Support CB / GM: Provide transactional support including credit requests, trading line requests, and cash management requests.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders through regular meetings and communication.
  5. Coaching & Team Management: Provide feedback, coaching, and training to develop a high-performing team aligned with bank policies and industry trends.
  6. Other Responsibilities: Presentations, reporting, and process reviews to promote continuous improvement.
What do you need to succeed?
  • 5-8 years of experience in corporate lending, credit risk management, or client relationship management.
  • An MBA or Professional Designation (e.g., CPA, CFA) is an asset.
  • Strong financial analysis, risk assessment, and financial modeling skills.
  • Understanding of credit documentation such as loan agreements and security documents.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • People management and coaching experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure.
  • Familiarity with RBC systems and credit processes is a plus.
