Job Description
What will you do?
- Provide leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching to the Commercial Account Manager team, building employee engagement through focused sales routines.
- Lead and advocate change within the organization by building engagement and inspiring your team to achieve the desired business outcomes.
- Demonstrate market leadership by promoting the RBC brand and enhancing visibility through developing and maintaining a network within the business community, working closely with industry and business leaders, community groups, and RBC partners.
- Manage the business to achieve market and sales objectives by focusing on effective sales management routines that add value for the team while balancing operational and credit risk requirements.
- Leverage full RBC capabilities, including branches, alternative delivery channels, and service partners, to meet RBC’s business goals.
- Utilize digital channels, increase client awareness, and ensure your team enables clients with RBC digital access.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Minimum 5-7 years of commercial banking experience preferred.
- Proven track record in leading and coaching professional sales teams to high standards of performance.
- Actively foster a continuous learning mindset and support the professional development of team members, while demonstrating your own commitment to growth as a leader and coach.
- Strong business acumen with extensive knowledge of the financial industry and commercial banking.
- Deep understanding of credit management, product and pricing policies, privacy, conduct standards, anti-money laundering regulations, and overall business center operations.
- Strong sales orientation with a passion for putting clients first.
- Experience with emerging communication and technology such as web-based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications.
Nice-to-have
- Strong organizational skills to manage a geographically diverse and mobile team.
- Proven leadership, sales management, and performance management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in Commerce, Business Administration, MBA, or related field is preferred.
