Job description

Reporting to the Director, Business Risk - Fraud, Operational and Cyber Risk, the employee will play a key role in the continued build out of the RBC Clear Fraud Risk Management program including enhancements to Fraud Risk Mitigation strategies and Fraud Investigations processes. Working closely with partners in the RBC Clear Products / Channels team and BCS, this role will support the Director, in identifying fraud risks and developing / implementing mitigating strategy to support the continued growth of the RBC Clear business and lead the RBC Clear Fraud Operations team.

What will you do?

  • As a subject matter expert (together with the Director), evaluates fraud risks associated with new RBC Clear processes and products and recommends / implements mitigating strategies.
  • Uses in-depth fraud and investigations knowledge to oversee the effectiveness of fraud monitoring and the investigation of fraud alerts. Ensures all alerts are worked within benchmarks and follow established procedures.
  • Perform data analysis to aid in the development of enhanced fraud detection strategies.
  • Constantly seeks new and innovative ways to optimize people, processes and systems to detect and prevent fraud.
  • Maintain the RBC Clear Fraud Operations Framework and Procedures that will detail the structure, roles & responsibilities and key processes.
  • Responsible for supporting the implementation and integration of all projects, initiatives and system enhancements impacting RBC Clear Fraud Operations.
  • Responsible for developing Operational reporting requirements to manage the Operations team and provide visibility into the effectiveness and efficiency of the RBC Clear Fraud Management program.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 7+ years' experience in Fraud Risk Management
  • 5+ years' experience in Fraud Investigations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to both grasp big picture concepts and demonstrate rigorous attention to detail
  • Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders and demonstrate strong collaboration skills across the organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset
