Overview

This senior regional leadership role will lead, coach and develop a team of business markets professionals to support client retention, acquisition and growth, optimizing revenue and providing superior customer service to our small business client segment. You will lead the implementation of strategic initiatives, pursue market opportunities, and profile/enhance RBC’s brand with governments, specific industry segments and community groups. Your priority is to lead your team and work closely with RBC partners to help RBC maintain its dominant position in the marketplace.

Your passion in creating success for our small business clients, employees, and communities is the cornerstone of your success in this opportunity. Ideally, the most suitable candidate will be those individuals who understand the dynamics and financing challenges associated with our small business enterprise community.

Please note: the position will be based in Winnipeg, MB with travel required and relocation provided.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives and pursue market opportunities across the region
  • Champion client strategies and management practices to achieve superior client experience and enhance employee capability and engagement while leveraging full RBC Financial Group capabilities, including close collaboration with key partners
  • Demonstrate your market leadership by promoting the RBC brand and enhancing visibility by developing and maintaining a network in the business community, working closely with business leaders, COI’s, and community groups
  • Manage the business to achieve market and business objectives while balancing both operational and credit risk requirements
  • Employ digital channels, raise client awareness, and ensure your team is enabling clients with RBC digital access
What you need to succeed

Must-have

  • Proven track record of leadership, coaching and people development ability
  • Astute business acumen with strong knowledge of financial industry and familiar with the dynamics and financing challenges associated with a small business enterprise
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong business and community networks
  • Have successfully led substantive change initiatives and have proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e. web based meetings, social media, Digital Banking and Mobile Applications)

Nice to have

  • Commercial Banking and/or Small Business experience an asset
  • Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree or related experience
