The Opportunity

Keyano College is seeking a strategic, visionary, and collaborative leader to serve as its next Vice President, Administration and Chief Financial Officer. This executive role is central to the College’s financial sustainability, operational excellence, and strategic alignment.

Reporting to the President & CEO and serving on the Executive Leadership Team, the VP Administration & CFO oversees six key areas:

  • Financial Services
  • Information Technology Services
  • Facilities & Asset Management
  • Procurement
  • Security & Safety Services
  • Risk & Compliance Services

This role provides strategic financial leadership, ensures regulatory compliance, manages enterprise risk, and fosters strong relationships with government, industry, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for a ~$70M budget and $15–20M investment portfolio
  • Oversee IT infrastructure and cybersecurity
  • Manage facilities, capital projects, and safety services
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and institutional policies
  • Support governance through reporting and strategic advice
  • Champion innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement

Candidate Profile

  • CPA designation and a university degree in business, public administration, or related field (graduate degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of senior financial/administrative leadership experience, ideally in post-secondary or complex organizations
  • Proven strategic thinker with strong decision-making, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in unionized environments and working with boards and government
