THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Retrofit Project Manager. Reporting directly to the Retrofit Manager and working closely with all departments, this position will be responsible for managing retrofit gas compression packages projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Manage multiple projects, monitor, assess, and report project progress by creating and managing schedules and deliverables for on-time delivery.
  2. Maintain up-to-date records of cost adders and change orders.
  3. Support procurement of equipment and materials, answering customer and shop queries.
  4. Conduct regular shop inspections to ensure compliance with design and schedule.
  5. Support fabrication and assembly processes.
  6. Manage all aspects of project performance including planning, execution, monitoring, and quality control.
  7. Plan, schedule, and organize all phases of projects.
  8. Handle change order requests, including assessing costs, schedules, and contracts.
  9. Assess project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  10. Assist with applications and quoting duties.
  11. Maintain financial reports on project health and performance.
  12. Report project status to stakeholders and management.
  13. Participate in client meetings such as Design Reviews, HAZOP, and Pre-Start Up Audits.
  14. Coordinate activities with clients, suppliers, and departments.
  15. Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, regulations, and customer specifications.
  16. Represent the project internally and act as liaison among teams.
  17. Assist field support teams as needed; some travel required.
  18. Contribute to and develop project management best practices.
  19. Evaluate customer requirements and prepare quotations for retrofit solutions.
  20. Conduct front-end design, selection, and sizing of equipment, and perform costing.
  21. Participate in project definition and bid preparation.
  22. Work with Sales to ensure quality and market-relevant quotes.
  23. Ensure smooth transition of project information to Engineering after award.
  24. Perform additional duties as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Project Manager in oil/gas equipment fabrication or multi-disciplinary construction.
  • Experience in project estimating in oil and gas projects is an asset.
  • Experience with natural gas compressor packages is preferred but not required.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Relevant Gas Processing experience is an asset.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills and team work ability.
