Title: Project Manager

Job Details

Reports To: MSA Executives, Fort St John General Hospital Medical Staff Association (MSA)

Duration: One Year Contract Position with Option to Renew

Overview

The Project Manager provides project support to the MSA Executives and the Fort St John General Hospital MSA. Responsibilities include engagement activities, budgeting, proposal preparation, and accountability reports to stakeholders, focusing on improving collaboration and quality with Health Authorities, aligned with the Facility Engagement Initiative.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Support development and implementation of structures, processes, and programs to meet funding criteria as per the Memorandum of Understanding.
  2. Assist with governance, operational structures, and processes aligned with the provincial Facility Engagement Initiative.
  3. Develop effective engagement processes and communication lines among the medical staff.
  4. Coordinate and schedule meetings between the MSA and the Health Authority.
  5. Provide administrative support for meetings, including preparing agendas, minutes, and logistics.
  6. Coordinate projects, analyze data, research issues, and advise on complex matters.
  7. Track and report on activity and project progress related to physician engagement.
  8. Maintain records for financial reporting.
  9. Facilitate administration of contracts and agreements.
  10. Attend MSA meetings and events, and liaise with stakeholders.
  11. Support content development for the MSA website.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in health administration, health policy, or community development.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of health regions and acute healthcare services; experience with physicians and health authorities preferred.
  • Leadership skills and experience in managing change.
  • Stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills.
  • Organizational, communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Project and budget management experience.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel within Fort St. John area; valid driver’s license required.
