Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead and oversee various projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management and will be adept at managing teams and vendor relationships. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure successful project delivery while adhering to timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning sessions to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Manage all phases of construction projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Liaise with engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Supervise cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Manage procurement, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and vendor selection.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee vendor activities to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Gather stakeholder requirements to meet business needs.
  • Analyze project performance data for informed decision-making.
  • Maintain communication with team and stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Oversee budgeting, cost control, and manage change orders.
  • Conduct site inspections, ensure safety compliance, and develop safety strategies.

Experience

  • 3+ years in project management with successful project delivery.
  • Effective planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data collection, requirements gathering, and MS Office tools.
  • Understanding of budgeting, time management, and resource allocation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week

Work Location: On site at Fort St. John, BC
