Job summary

Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our Surgery Department. You will work closely with our surgery team, including two board-certified surgeons, providing exceptional patient care and anesthesia support.

Ideal candidates have RVT registration or eligibility, with a strong record-keeping skill set and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Technologist or eligible to register.
• Experience in a specialty surgery role is an asset but not required.
• Willing to enhance technical skills; anesthesia considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures: venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment.
• Support surgery team and ensure accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with board-certified surgeons and anesthesiologist on protocols.

Registered Veterinary Technologist, RVT

Location: Victoria, BC

Compensation: $27.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on experience and skills

Department: Surgery

Schedule: This position is full-time. Shifts are 10 hours, 4 days per week.

Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist RVT to join our Surgery Department!

This role will work closely with our surgery team, including TWO board-certified surgeons, to provide excellent care to patients requiring this service.The successful candidate will possess exceptional patient care and technical skills (including anesthesia). You will have opportunities to expand your learning through extensive exposure and involvement on cases with various degrees of complexity; you will also have a board-certified anesthesiologist available to weigh in on protocols and procedures. Previous experience in a specialty surgery role would be an asset but is not required.

• Registered Veterinary Technologist or eligible to register
• Perform clinical procedures: venipuncture, Catheter placement, radiology, surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment
