Location: Nanaimo, BC

Island Animal Hospital in beautiful Nanaimo, BC, is seeking full-time Registered Veterinary Technologists to join our team! Enjoy the opportunity to utilize your skills to their fullest potential! At VCA Canada, our RVTs are equipped with the tools and resources needed to pursue multiple passions within our hospitals. Here are additional qualifications and attributes essential for success in this role:

1. Completion of a Veterinary Technician/Technologist or Animal Health Technician/Technologist program. Preparing for the VTNE? We can assist!

2. New graduates with knowledge in physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy are encouraged to apply! We love nurturing new talent!

3. Experience in surgical preparation, assisting, and patient recovery.

4. Ability to maintain detailed and accurate patient records.

5. Compassionate care for hospitalized patients and their pet parents.

6. Capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

7. Problem-solving skills and the ability to ask clarifying questions to find solutions.

8. Exceptional interpersonal skills for working with colleagues and pet parents.
