Job summary

Burrard Animal Hospital + Emergency in Vancouver, BC, is a fast-growing AAHA-accredited 24-hour general and emergency service hospital. We are a fully paperless practice with an in-house lab, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital X-ray, CT scan, and planned laparoscopy.

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team, delivering patient care, supporting doctors, and assisting in routine and emergency cases.

Qualifications

• Formal veterinary technician education or certification.
• Experience in a veterinary hospital is an asset.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent patient care and client support in a fast-paced emergency/general practice.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, RVTs and staff to manage cases.
• Support patient handling, monitoring and daily care.
• Gain experience with a wide range of emergency and routine cases.
• Grow clinical knowledge alongside an experienced team.

Hourly wage: $24.00-$26.00/hour, based on experience.

Burrard Animal Hospital + Emergency is a fast-growing, AAHA-accredited 24-hour general and emergency service hospital in Vancouver. We are a fully paperless practice equipped with a comprehensive in-house lab, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital X-ray, CT scan, and Cornerstone software. Soon, we will also have a full laparoscopy suite and therapy laser unit! Our mission is to provide 24-hour veterinary care and comfort to pets through advanced diagnostics, routine services, and emergency care.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic emergency and general practice team. In this role, you will:

• Play an active role in delivering excellent patient care and client support
• Collaborate with veterinarians, RVTs, and support staff in a fast-paced environment
• Support the team with patient handling, treatment, monitoring, and daily care
• Gain experience with a wide range of emergency and routine cases
• Build your clinical knowledge and confidence while working alongside an experienced veterinary team
