Job description

We are a 3-vet practice located in beautiful North Bay. Responsibilities include all aspects of the hospital, such as:

  • Anesthetic monitoring
  • Dental prophylaxis
  • Nursing care
  • Laboratory work
  • Client communication

NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop your clinical skills in:

  • Patient care
  • Laboratory procedures
  • Anesthesia
  • Surgical assistance
  • Radiology

This program helps enhance communication skills with medical teams and clients, preparing you for a successful RVT career. Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals. Eligible students—those enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum—may receive a stipend to assist with travel expenses, allowing you to focus on learning without financial worries.
