Job description

Our practice is full of very dedicated and passionate individuals. We pride ourselves on creating a safe and welcoming environment for both team members and our clients. Our number one priority is making sure our clients feel heard and valued. Although we run a small animal GP practice, there are plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. We perform spays, neuters, hernia repairs, stenotic nares corrections, lump removal, COHATS, radiographs, in-house labs, and are introducing an ultrasound machine to take ultrasound appointments in the coming months.

NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop your clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and more. Enhance your communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing you for a successful career as an RVT. Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals. Eligible students—those enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year—can receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, allowing you to focus on learning without financial worries.

Diversity and Inclusion

At NVA Canada, diversity and inclusion are an important part of our everyday reality. We are committed to fostering an open and inclusive environment where everyone belongs, and our people feel comfortable and confident to be themselves and reach their full potential regardless of age, race, national or ethnic origin, gender identity or expression, marital and family status, religion or other belief, culture, sexual orientation, or disability.
