An established industry player is offering an exciting practicum opportunity for final-year veterinary technician students. This program provides hands-on experience in a busy multi-doctor practice, allowing you to develop essential skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, and surgical assistance. You will work closely with experienced veterinarians and RVTs in a supportive environment that values diversity and inclusion. With practicums ranging from two to eight weeks, you can tailor your experience to fit your schedule and career goals, all while receiving a stipend to alleviate travel expenses. This is a fantastic chance to kickstart your career as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
We are a busy, multi-doctor practice. We utilize our RVTs to the fullest and are currently utilizing a RVT, Certified Wellness Practitioner for healthy pet appointments. We offer surgery (routine & specialty such as orthopedic, dental, enucleations, lumpectomies, etc). Majority of bloodwork & u/a & cytology are completed in house.
NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop your clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and more. Enhance your communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing you for a successful career as an RVT. Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals. Eligible students—those enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year—can receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, allowing you to focus on learning without financial worries.
