Fetch Specialty and Emergency Veterinary Centers in Brandon is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team. You will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to pets undergoing cancer treatment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and certification as a veterinary technician; experience with sedation, anesthesia, and diagnostic support is a plus. We offer comprehensive benefits and a collaborative, compassionate work environment.

• Certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle and restrain pets during procedures and treatments
• Administer sedation and induce anesthesia
• Monitor sedated and anesthetized patients
• Prepare, calculate and administer medications as prescribed
• Monitor patients and document their vital signs and response to treatment
• Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, such as imaging studies and laboratory work
• Maintain and update patient records
• Provide compassionate care and support to pets and their owners
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the Oncology department
