Veterinary Reception, Animal Care Attendant

Schedule: Full-time, Flexible

Secord Animal Hospital welcomes an experienced Veterinary Receptionist and Animal Care Attendant to join our team! This is an exceptional full-time opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to support our hospital operations. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated.

Requirements include excellent customer service skills, a genuine aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease, and creating a welcoming environment.

Key qualities:

  • Remaining calm and adaptable in stressful situations
  • Willingness to learn about veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
  • Ability to answer a multiline phone system and efficiently schedule appointments, admit and discharge pet patients
  • Handling invoicing, billing, creating estimates, and processing payments
  • Providing compassionate care including feeding and walking patients
  • Maintaining cleanliness in reception, pet holding areas, and common spaces

An certification from a Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program is considered an asset.
