Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality is an asset.
  • Must be flexible and available to work shift work (7 am to 1 am).
  • Previous veterinary experience preferred.

Veterinary Reception, Client Care

Location: Ottawa, ON

Ottawa Veterinary Hospital is growing! We are currently welcoming a Veterinary Reception, Client Care to join our team!

This full-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities that directly attributes to the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated! Additional responsibilities and qualities required for this role are:

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents

  • Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and schedule appointments effectively

  • Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up

  • Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages

  • Admitting and discharging pet patients

  • Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing payments

  • General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas

  • Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments

  • Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality is an asset!

  • Must be flexible and available to work shift work (early as 7 am and late as 1 am), weekdays, weekends and holidays.

  • Previous veterinary experience or graduation from an accredited Veterinary Assistant program is preferred
