Job summary

National Veterinary Associates offers a veterinary externship at Blenheim Veterinary Hospital within the CK Vets group. This externship gives students hands-on clinical experience under supervision, exposure to diverse cases, and opportunities to participate in dentistry, ultrasound, and surgery.

Open to 4th year and clinic-year students, externs will gather histories, perform exams, help create treatment plans, and assist with diagnostics and medical management.

Qualifications

• Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for externships.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and perform physical exams.
• D create treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry services, and observe/assist or perform surgeries.
• Contribute to medical management and client communication.
