Veterinary Assistant

Location: Lake Country, BC

Tri Lake Animal Hospital & Referral Centre in Lake Country, BC, is welcoming a dedicated full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We seek team players who enjoy a fast-paced environment and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our patients and clients.

As we expand our ER department to 24/7 services, shifts will include daytime, evening, overnight, and shared weekend shifts. Night shift preferences are available for those interested in overnight work. Sharing shifts via rotation helps maintain work-life balance for all staff.

What You Need

• Previous veterinary experience is an asset
• Exceptional client service skills to build trust and loyalty
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse team
• Compassion and a nurturing attitude towards clients and patients
• Ability to stay calm and efficient under stress
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn

Your Role Will Be

• Assisting Veterinarians and Technicians with client support and treatment, including low-stress restraint techniques
• Supporting Client Care services and covering reception shifts when needed
• Preparing medications and supplies for clients
• Providing compassionate care to hospitalized patients, including feeding and walking
• Handling surgical equipment setup, cleaning, and sterilization
• Performing general hospital duties such as cleaning kennels, restocking, and outdoor maintenance
