Job description

We are located in an up-and-coming area of Pickering. Our plaza offers many interesting vendors, including banks, restaurants, a dollar store, Planet Fitness, and a Montessori Daycare. Pickering Animal Hospital provides a supportive and collaborative work environment. Many of our team members have been with us for over 10 years, and some of our clients have been with us for as long as 30 years. We all have a strong desire to make work both fun and meaningful.

About The Role:

Our ideal Vet Assistant will counsel and educate clients, under the direction of a Veterinarian or RVT, on various aspects of animal care such as medication dosage and purpose, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare. They will collaborate with the team to suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing. Additionally, they will greet, handle, and treat animals in a manner that fosters a safe and secure environment for them.
