Job description

Our ideal Vet Assistant will counsel and educate clients, under the direction of a Veterinarian or RVT, on various aspects of animal care such as medication dosages, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare. They will collaborate with the team to suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing. Additionally, they will greet, handle, and treat animals to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.

Experience in a front desk reception role is an asset, as much of the day will be spent at the front desk. This position is 25 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours. It offers an excellent opportunity to work with rescue organizations and exotic animals. We are a small, friendly, laid-back team that does not require evening or weekend work. A Veterinary Assistant certificate is considered an asset.
