Job summary

North Bay Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our caring team. This full-time position offers a 4-5 day work week from 8am to 5pm, with no weekends and no evenings, plus comprehensive health and dental benefits, RRSP matching, wellness spending account, uniform allowance and employee pet discount.

You will support veterinarians and technicians, handle radiographs, and contribute to inventory management and patient care in a fast-paced, pet-friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care, radiographs and nursing tasks.
• Manage hospital inventory and keep stock organized.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterility of the hospital environment.
• Provide patient handling and ensure gentle, compassionate care.
• Communicate empathetically with clients to explain procedures and care.
