Qualifications

Job description

Vancouver Animal Emergency & Referral Centre (VAERC) is welcoming full-time Emergency Veterinarians to add to our growing team.

  • As our ideal candidate, you have:
  • A valid DVM degree or equivalent, enabling practice in Canada
  • Completed a small animal internship or have 2 years of recent in-hospital emergency experience.
  • Leadership skills combined with a positive, team-player attitude to enable our team to flourish
  • Excellent diagnostic and critical care skills
  • Exemplary client service skills, allowing you to build trust and loyalty with clients
  • Organizational skills, which allow you to work efficiently under pressure
  • The drive and ability to train and mentor our emergency team, both veterinarians and technicians
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts and rotate through weekends and statutory holidays

Compensation:

  • $170,000-$190,000
  • 40 hours per week
