Bayview Animal Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario is seeking a Veterinarian (DVM) to join our team. A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine licensed or eligible to practice in Ontario is required. This role emphasizes building relationships with pet parents, collaborative care with RVTs, and ongoing professional growth.

You will deliver preventive and dental care, manage a busy schedule, and uphold high medical standards in a AAHA-accredited hospital that values work-life balance.

Qualifications

• DVM degree required and licensed or eligible to practice in Ontario.
• Strong communication and team collaboration with RVTs and support staff.
• Proven clinical diagnostic, surgical, and dental abilities with compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver preventive and wellness care including vaccinations, parasite prevention, and nutrition guidance.
• Manage a diverse daily appointment schedule with flexibility for walk-ins and urgent needs.
• Provide routine dental care and educate pet parents on oral health.
• Build trust with pet parents through clear communication and compassionate support.
• Perform routine surgical procedures with patient safety and comfort in mind.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols.

How you'll make a difference every day

• Deliver proactive wellness and preventive care, including vaccinations, parasite prevention, nutrition guidance, and early-detection laboratory screenings.
• Manage a diverse, active daily appointment schedule with a positive, flexible approach that accommodates walk-ins and urgent patient needs.
• Provide routine dental care, including examinations and cleanings, while educating pet parents on the importance of follow-up oral care.
• Build trusted, lasting relationships with pet parents through clear communication and compassionate support.
