Job summary

The Vet Service in Ontario is seeking a fully licensed Veterinarian to join a long-established, privately owned practice providing comprehensive care across a varied caseload. You will treat dogs, cats, small mammals, exotics, and birds, with a mix of general practice and interesting cases.

The successful candidate participates in consultations, diagnostics, preventive care, dentistry, nutrition, and soft tissue surgery, with opportunities to mentor students and engage in ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Full veterinary licence permitting independent practice in Ontario.
• Strong competence in general medicine, dentistry, preventive healthcare, and soft tissue surgery.
• Ability to perform diagnostic workups for a varied small animal caseload.
• Experience or interest in exotic and avian medicine would be advantageous.
• Clear interpersonal skills and the ability to work constructively with support staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations and clinical exams for dogs, cats, and exotics.
• Perform diagnostic investigations and develop treatment plans.
• Provide dentistry, preventive care, and nutritional guidance.
• Participate in the emergency service rota.
• Mentor veterinary students or interns when possible.
