Job summary

The Vet Service in Ontario is seeking an experienced Small Animal Emergency Veterinarian to join a fast-paced clinical setting focused on urgent and emergency patient care. Ideally bringing at least three years of veterinary experience, you will triage cases, prioritise diagnostics, and communicate clearly with pet owners during stressful situations.

Mentorship is available to strengthen surgical technique and broadening confidence in acute case management within a varied emergency caseload.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree with Ontario registration or eligibility to practise in Ontario.
• At least three years of veterinary experience preferred.
• Ability to manage urgent and emergency cases in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong communication skills with confidence supporting clients through challenging situations.
• Surgical confidence or willingness to develop surgical capability through mentorship.
