THE ROLE:

The Versal AI Edge Portfolio Senior Product Line Manager has business, strategy and product line ownership of our industry leading Adaptive SoC products. The successful candidate will lead two high-profile product lines, Versal AI Edge Series and Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2, with strong growth potential and compelling value propositions in key markets such as automotive, industrial/medical and aerospace/defense.

THE PERSON:

Ideal for an energetic, motivated individual with strong business acumen, and excellent communications skills, this position entails a significant level of influence internally with other marketing, engineering and operations groups. The position requires technical command, experience and insights to develop and nurture our Versal AI Edge Portfolio.

This individual possesses unwavering customer focus, critical thinking capabilities, and excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Sound business judgment and the ability to work as part of a high performance team in a fast-paced environment with multiple cross-functional teams are critical for success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Managing all aspects of new product introduction, both internally with all factory stakeholders and externally by interfacing directly with customers and sales teams worldwide.
2. In-depth understanding of the wide spectrum of customer requirements, market trends and financial objectives and synthesize them into a cohesive and actionable product line strategy.
3. Possesses an understanding of embedded processing systems, operating systems, embedded system debuggers, embedded processing applications and system requirements.
4. Prepare and present a compelling Adaptive SoC, software and solution value proposition to field and customers incorporating AMD’s distinctive competence.
5. Collaborate with sales, FAEs, vertical market business teams, and system architects to drive awareness of the Versal AI Edge portfolio hardware and software capabilities, as well as demonstrate the value of these solutions.
6. Present and demonstrate Versal AI Edge portfolio solutions, products and technologies to customers.
7. This position will include some travel for customer/field interaction.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

1. Proven track record of Semiconductor experience, and sales or marketing experience in the semiconductor industry.
2. Demonstrate customer empathy and experience in identification of customer needs, as well as an understanding of customer design practices.
3. A passion for winning and achieving challenging revenue, design win and market share targets.
4. Proven experience in successfully bringing new technologies and/or business models to market and driving market adoption.
5. Machine learning or AI experience.
6. Familiarity with TensorFlow, Python and other learning frameworks.
7. Knowledge and development experience with CPUs, GPUs, SoCs and/or FPGAs.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

1. BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
2. Master’s degree in technical discipline or MBA is a plus, but not required.
