Our Toronto office is seeking a Verification & Validation Requirements Manager to join our team.

This role involves working on various projects, currently focusing on the Scarborough subway extension project. It offers a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days flexible work from home.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Manage the identification of requirements for each discipline, led by the Discipline Requirement Owner / Engineer, in accordance with the Requirements Management Procedure, including sourcing and rationale.
  2. Define acceptance criteria for requirements.
  3. Ensure the consistency, accuracy, and maintenance of project requirements by communicating changes, revisions, non-compliances, and departures to the Requirements Team.
  4. Define system requirements and perform subsystem decomposition.
  5. Review and accept compliance evidence to establish requirements acceptance and assurance.
  6. Translate customer or product requirements into comprehensive system solutions, considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints, using tools like DOORS Rational, Compliance Matrix, and Verification Matrix.
  7. Conduct technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and perform analyses related to cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness at all system levels, including concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.

Role requirements:

  1. Background in Software, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, with a holistic view of projects.
  2. Experience applying ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288:2015 Systems and Software Engineering System Lifecycle Processes.
  3. Experience managing IBM DOORS and DOORS Next Generation tools.
  4. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Requirements Management tasks.
  5. Experience in Rail and Transit projects, preferably in Toronto.
  6. Knowledge of Systems Engineering methods, tools, and processes.
  7. INCOSE certification (ASEP, CSEP, ESEP) is preferred.
