Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations, the Venue Information Technology Manager is responsible for installing and maintaining hardware, software, and peripherals for the TD Coliseum & Concert Hall technology functions on a day-to-day basis, as well as providing support for event-specific IT needs. Additionally, they will collaborate with venue leadership to establish technology strategies that enhance the fan experience. This position requires availability during nonstandard hours, including weekends and holidays.

This role offers an annual salary of $80,000-$100,000 CAD.

This position will remain open until September 26, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the team responsible for installing and maintaining onsite hardware and software, including workstations, mobile devices, multimedia displays, and video conference systems.
  • Manage systems and technologies supporting venue operations (Device Management, Identity, Access Control, etc.).
  • Provide technical leadership and support for onsite staff and contractors.
  • Support event operations related to Point of Sale, Network, Wi-Fi, Events, Operations, Box Office, and stadium communications.
  • Develop long-term plans, budgets, and capital improvements for technology systems.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware issues, coordinating with service vendors when necessary.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and storage for technical assets.
  • Report system failures promptly to Venue Leadership.
  • Document procedures and label equipment appropriately.
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs for equipment.
  • Schedule upgrades and maintenance in coordination with venue events and operations.
  • Support infrastructure cabling and wireless networks (Fiber/Copper/AV/Broadcast/Wireless).
  • Manage printer infrastructure, lease agreements, and venue print/copy operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Enhance and maintain the technical infrastructure over time.
  • Support the professional development of direct reports, including performance reviews.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT or Desktop Support, preferably in the events or entertainment industry.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Office suite.
  • Proficiency with MacOS and Windows OS, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Knowledge of Client-Server infrastructure and onsite support.
  • Experience with cloud-based business and venue systems.
  • Experience with multifunction imaging devices, copiers, and printers.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for iOS and Android mobile devices.
  • Understanding of networking protocols; CCNA or equivalent is a plus.
  • Support experience with network equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of telephone and VoIP systems.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
  • Understanding of industry terminology, event services, and technical requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with judgment and initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Commitment to integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to read and interpret building drawings, event plans, and operational diagrams.
