Job Description

Acara is looking for a Vehicle Technician with our client in Eglinton, ON.

Position: Vehicle Technician

Pay Rate: $28 / hr

Shift: Day / Afternoon / Night

Duration: Temp - starting with a 3-month assignment, with potential for renewal on a month-to-month basis

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a cutting-edge field.

You will provide field support for maintenance, repairs, and operation of vehicles. Your daily tasks will involve working closely with teams across the business, including subcontractors and the project team, ensuring all necessary information, equipment, and parts are available for efficient execution.

You will specifically handle troubleshooting equipment, operating portable test equipment, testing devices, and special tools to support activities, while adhering to EHS rules.

Responsibilities include:
  • Replacing failed parts or equipment, testing, operating, and maintaining the vehicle fleet
  • Performing maintenance activities on vehicles
  • Preliminary troubleshooting
  • Reporting damage or shortages of parts/tools
  • Designing and setting up test/investigation methods and reporting results to engineering or suppliers to improve design and quality

  • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems

  • Effective technical communication and reporting skills, both oral and written
  • Relevant experience in the field
