Let us describe the challenge we offer

The New Vehicle Processing Manager will be responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of vehicles from the ports of entry or processing facility to their respective final destinations. You will take charge of compliance while upholding strict quality and regulatory standards. This role will focus on quality and vehicle logistics, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. As the New Vehicle Processing Manager, you will strive to meet service level KPIs and share reports to improve processes and procedures.

This role will be primarily based in St-Eustache, QC and may require 10% - 15% overnight travel as needed.

Timeline

We are looking to fill this position immediately. It is a one-year contract with a high potential for extension and / or permanent employment.

What you’ll do

  • Provide governance over the port processor / processing facility team’s adherence to schedules for vehicle processing.
  • Act as the liaison between the factory and local port / processing teams for factory-requested actions.
  • Ensure timely completion of vehicles within Polestar’s guidelines, aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate with the port processing team to meet resourcing needs.
  • Manage vehicles offline for quality reasons within SLA and KPI expectations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to guide and train port processors / processing facility teams.
  • Review processor / technician needs and knowledge gaps, providing support and development recommendations.
  • Perform regular quality and process audits, sharing reports with the Quality team.
  • Work with quality teams for timely follow-up and vehicle reporting across Canada.
  • Provide rapid reporting and resolution of product or process quality issues.
  • Align with port processors on invoicing protocols for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments for planning related to model changes, materials, instructions, and accessories.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in port / processing operations.
  • 5+ years’ leadership experience in cross-functional teams.
  • Professional certifications are a plus.
  • Process-oriented with a focus on detail and continuous improvement.
  • Basic understanding of automotive technology and body repair methods.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with business partners.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills.
  • Flexible and driven to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with quick adaptability to new software.
