Job summary

Subaru of Hamilton, part of AutoCanada, is hiring a Lot Attendant to transport customers and maintain vehicle inventory. Your role includes cleaning, detailing, and preparing vehicles for sale or service, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

You will work on site in Hamilton, ON with a competitive hourly rate of $17.95–$18.50 and benefits. Must have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Interest in automotive industry and knowledge of vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and tools is a plus.
• Reliable, detail-oriented and able to prioritize.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Build and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Service and Sales Department duties.
• Daily organization and parking of vehicles for sale and service department.
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer.
• Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages before returning the vehicle to the customer.
• Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks.
• Pick up parts from the Parts Department.
• Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed.
• Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs.
• Identify lot merchandising needs or issues to the appropriate manager.
• Placing signage in and on vehicles for advertising purposes.
• Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on progress in reconditioning.
• Lot tidiness and trash removal.
• Detail interior and exterior of customer vehicles.
• Perform general car detailing activities, including vacuuming and washing.
• Ensure exterior of cars are clean and showroom displays are smudge-free.
• Deliver dealer trades to neighboring stores and drive customers home as necessary.

Skills
