Collabera seeks a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to support vehicle performance development through advanced simulation and virtual tuning environments. The role emphasizes Ride & Handling, suspension, steering, and tire optimization using state-of-the-art driving simulator technology.

You will collaborate with Chassis, Powertrain, and Vehicle Integration teams to validate models, analyze results, and translate findings into actionable improvements for early-stage vehicle behavior before prototypes

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace engineering, or related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience in Vehicle Dynamics, Ride & Handling, or related automotive engineering.
  • Experience with vehicle dynamics simulation tools such as ADAMS/Car or CarSim.
  • Experience using MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Valid driver's license; ability to travel to the United States as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to support vehicle performance development through advanced simulation and virtual tuning environments. This role focuses on Ride & Handling, vehicle dynamics analysis, suspension, steering, and tire optimization using state-of-the-art driving simulator technology. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop, validate, and refine vehicle behavior before physical prototypes are available.


Responsibilities



  • Perform vehicle dynamics analysis and optimization using driving simulators and simulation tools.

  • Support Ride & Handling development through virtual vehicle tuning and subjective evaluations.

  • Develop and validate vehicle dynamics models related to suspension, steering, and tire performance.

Required Qualifications



  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.

  • 1–5 years of experience in Vehicle Dynamics, Ride & Handling, or related automotive engineering.

  • Experience with vehicle dynamics simulation tools such as ADAMS/Car or CarSim.

  • Experience using MATLAB and Simulink.

  • Strong understanding of Vehicle Dynamics, Ride & Handling, and Kinematics & Compliance.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Ability to travel to the United States as needed.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with driving simulators or virtual vehicle development.

  • Experience with suspension, steering, or tire systems.

  • Experience with VI-CarRealTime, VI-DriveSim, or SimWorkbench.

  • Formula SAE, Baja SAE, motorsports, or vehicle tuning experience.
