Job summary

Sprangers Farms Ltd. is seeking workers to perform field tasks at our BC location. You will handle planting, weeding, irrigation and harvesting, while processing produce and maintaining equipment. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Applicants should be prepared for a fast-paced environment, follow safety protocols, and contribute to accurate sorting and grading of fruits and vegetables for market. On-site work only.

Qualifications

• No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• Experience in farming is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizers.
• Clean the crops.
• Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• Grade vegetables and fruits by size, shape, colour and volume for market value.
• Hand harvest vegetables.
• Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops.
• Weeding.
• Harvest crops.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
