The organization within Business Unit Networks seeks to work closely with our customers, passionate about the delivery of virtualized RAN solutions.
- Full-stack Virtualization of the 5G NR CU and DU
- Systemization of CRAN & DRAN configurations
- COTS HW including L1 accelerators
- Cloud-Native infrastructure based on ADP framework for SW based on micro-services and containers
- Architecture for automation, AI and Machine Learning
- Band support: Sub-6 & Mid-Band AAS initially, High-Band in future phases
- Radio support: Potentially all Ericsson NR capable radios using eCPRI or CPRI converter
What you will do
- Engage in architecture definition and drive implementation of Cloud Native-based vDU solutions
- Participate in system studies for product evolution and features
- Ensure scalability, resilience, and performance leveraging Cloud-Native architecture and HW accelerators
- Modularize implementation for multiple interfaces (proprietary, ORAN...) and radios (Macro, Mid-Band AAS, High Band, Indoor...)
- Drive continuous product and process improvements
- Interface with customers to understand their needs and pain points
- Develop hardware and software roadmaps and strategies
- Develop Intellectual Property
- Implement rapid feature parity in different network environments
- Work on 3GPP NR and ORAN standards and advanced 5G features
- Create simulation tools for system performance testing of algorithms and benchmarking
You will bring
- 7+ years in Wireless System architecture/standardization or Cloud Native product development
- 5-7 years experience related to NR DU or Radio systems (including relevant graduate studies)
- BSc or MSc in Electrical or Computer Systems engineering or related fields
- Experience with wireless system models, simulation tools, and understanding of wireless channel models and algorithms
Additional Requirements
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and learn independently
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Background in communications theory and digital signal processing
- Experience with Radio access technologies (NR, LTE, WCDMA, GSM), Baseband, HW/SW design or research
- Solid understanding of NR 3GPP specifications, especially Physical Layer, RRM, and Mobility
- Proficiency in SW development languages: Java, Matlab, C, C++
- Analytical, mathematical skills, and result-oriented mindset
- Experience leading technical teams or recognized as a technical leader
- Excellent communication skills in English, with ability to build relationships
