We are seeking a VDC Designer with strong REVIT experience and knowledge of multiple systems, code understanding, and routing optimization to join our Calgary, Edmonton, or Vancouver team!
The responsibilities of the Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Designer include understanding and developing Engineering Consultant designs into fabricable, installable, and coordinated virtual models representing site installation.
The VDC Designer will be responsible for designing and modeling at least two of the following disciplines using virtual construction technologies:
The VDC Designer uses modeling and coordination software to route and reroute disciplines among architectural, structural, and building elements. Routing must be optimized to reduce costs, ease installation, follow relevant codes, improve design, and represent the trades' intent.
This role involves close contact with the VDC Project Lead and the Project Superintendent to ensure work aligns with project strategies.
