We enable our VDC Coordinators to leverage the latest VDC technologies to optimize project management. Supported by our collaborative culture, we encourage innovation and leadership. You As VDC Coordinator Will

• Work in a fast-paced project team environment with project managers, superintendents, and engineers on-site.
• Collaborate with the VDC Leadership team on BIM Execution Plans and VDC strategies.
• Understand owner BIM / EIR requirements and use software tools to prepare model-based deliverables.
• Develop project-specific workflows utilizing BIM data for estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling (4D), coordination, field layout, and management.
• Perform model-based design, clash detection, visualization, and constructability reviews to develop solutions with stakeholders.
• Manage and maintain BIM data from various sources throughout design and construction phases.
• Lead coordination meetings with designers, trades, and suppliers.
• Generate drawings and construction documents from BIM using standardized workflows.
• Work with the field team to track site progress and contribute to project schedules and plans.
• Use 3D Modeling skills for architectural, structural, MEP, and logistics elements for visualization and coordination.
• Utilize reality capture technologies like LiDAR, drones, and 360 Photography for model integration, QA/QC, analysis, and visualization.
• Mentor team members in new software and workflows, and participate in R&D initiatives for personal and professional growth.
• Contribute to EllisDon’s tradition of innovation within the construction industry.

Is this the right role for you?

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Experience and interest in building structures, with construction knowledge considered an asset.
• University degree or Technology Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, M&E, or related field.
• 1-3+ years of professional experience in BIM Management, Modeling, and related technologies, preferably on-site.
• Experience with engineering and construction documentation, M&E coordination, and relevant software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
• Knowledge of Autodesk BIM360, Revizto, Synchro Pro, 3D Laser Scanning is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam.
• Understanding of design and construction drawings.
• Passion for construction and innovation.
• Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
• BIM certifications (e.g., Building SMART) and drone operator certification are assets.
• Self-motivated, innovative, and creative.
• This position is located in Duncan, BC.
