The vAuto Performance Manager (PM) is responsible for client retention and utilization, ultimately ensuring a continued revenue stream in a business model without client contracts. The PM also harvests additional accounts and upsells product functionality to maximize revenue across their client base, managing between 100 - 140 accounts across multiple software applications.

This role requires influence, strategic decision-making, and engagement. The PM operates with considerable latitude, making decisions and managing accounts to ensure ROI and measurable results from vAuto systems.

This is a regional position covering Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. Preference will be given to applicants residing within these territories.

What You'll Do
  • Manage client retention using extensive knowledge of vAuto Provision, Conquest, Stockwave, and KBB Instant Cash Offer, ensuring effective account progress and results.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, including dealers, owners, decision-makers, and management.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify opportunities and develop strategic action plans.
  • Identify barriers and core problems preventing clients from meeting objectives, applying problem-solving skills to achieve client goals.
  • Maintain relationships through onsite visits and virtual engagements to provide valuable insights.
  • Oversee account launches to ensure successful onboarding and customer success.
  • Work with 'at risk' clients to develop turnaround plans and retain relationships.
  • Generate additional revenue through upselling and harvesting existing accounts.
  • Encourage clients to attend product workshops to enhance system knowledge.
  • Participate in product development and enhancement reviews.
  • Share best practices across teams and business units.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' relevant experience, or equivalent combinations (e.g., master's degree with 4 years' experience, Ph.D. with 1 year, or 10 years' experience).
Preferred Requirements
  • At least 7 years of retail automotive management experience in roles such as General Manager, General Sales Manager, Used Car Manager, or similar.
  • Internal experience as a performance manager with proven client retention results, or experience with Cox Automotive products like vAuto, Stockwave, KBB ICO.
  • Experience managing preowned operations.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working remotely with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels at automotive dealerships.
  • Strong communication skills to engage and retain audience attention.
  • Exceptional listening skills and problem detection without face-to-face interaction.
  • Customer-focused with excellent service skills.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, resilience, determination, proactiveness, and drive.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, automotive management systems, and Microsoft Office.

Salary range: USD 107,100 - 160,700 per year, plus an annual incentive/commission target of USD 71,000.
