Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Repairs relief valves, control valves, on/off valves, and pneumatic actuators in FCx actuation facility or customer plant locations.
  2. Mechanically and electrically troubleshoot, inspect, and test valves at specified worksites, including customer in-field sites and FCx repair centers.
  3. Perform pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, machining, lapping, painting, assembly, testing, and final inspection on various valves and actuators.
  4. Conduct testing using certified test equipment and document all activities under QA/QC/National Board VR programs.
  5. Complete field service worksheets and submit them upon work completion.
  6. Understand pneumatic and digital controls.
  7. Reference valve manuals for repair requirements.
  8. Communicate effectively with plant personnel regarding valve and instrumentation issues and customer needs.
  9. Obtain site-specific and safety training to perform valve repairs.
  10. Maintain driver eligibility and perform regular vehicle maintenance.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands

Work involves lifting, climbing, forklift operation, safety and site-specific training, and periodic drug/alcohol screening. Willingness to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and possibly travel out of town. Technician is on a rotating on-call schedule.

Applicant Requirements
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Valid driver’s license.
  3. At least one year of experience in customer service activities.
Work Environment

Includes warehouse settings with machine shop, paint booth, equipment operation, shipping & receiving, inventory, and customer facilities that may be indoors or outdoors, exposed to weather, clean rooms, and factories.
