Actalent in Windsor, ON is seeking a Validation Engineer to perform verification and validation of automotive systems. The role covers hardware, software, and vehicle functionality with responsibilities for DVP creation, DVP&R management, and test procedure development.

You will ensure traceability from requirements to results, document procedures, and lead testing strategies across multiple vehicle platforms. Onsite contract position with hands-on vehicle exposure.

• Enter results at I-Points and log issues in PITS or GIM.
• Provide DVP&R results and oversee validation testing strategies.

Description

The Validation Engineer's responsibilities include performing verification and validation of automotive systems to meet federally regulated guidelines for software performance (OBD), safety requirements, manufacturability, and vehicle functionality. The Validation team is responsible for the validation of hardware, software, and vehicle functionality. Responsible for developing master DVP's for Vehicle Validation, creating and managing DVP&R's, the test procedures (including maintaining traceability of test artifacts to requirements), and initial root cause analysis activities. Additionally, the team is responsible for properly documenting test procedures and developing new tests as appropriate to enhance coverage. The Validation Engineer shall ensure test properties functionality for validating the appropriate functions, performing the tests and entering test results at all I-Points for all programs. The engineer will clearly document issues in PITS or GIM, and provide Validation Project Chief all DVP&R results and open issues found. The validation engineer provides leadership in the areas of formulation and implementation of testing strategies including traceability from requirements to results to achieve broader testing capabilities across multiple vehicle platforms.

Nice To Have

• Masters of Engineering with automotive designations, preferably Electrical
• SAE/BAJA experience
• Experience working through and completing DVP&Rs
• Proven skills with improvements implemented, continuous & automation projects
• Experience confirming vehicle function requirements are met for signal and communication for ICE and EVs the modules and network management are performing properly (identify faults).
• Hands-on vehicle experience and a passion for vehicles
• Ability to travel to the US is greatly preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of WINDSOR, ON.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
