Job summary

Residence Inn by Marriott Toronto Downtown is seeking a courteous Guest Services/Valet Associate to provide exceptional service to guests. You will drive and park guest vehicles, assist with luggage, and uphold hotel standards.

The role requires a valid Ontario G license, availability for evenings, weekends and holidays, and eligibility to work in Canada. You will be part of a dynamic hospitality team in downtown Toronto.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Ontario G driver’s license.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Drive, park, and return guests’ vehicles in a courteous, safe manner.
• Provide high-quality guest service and maintain performance standards.
• Greet guests arriving by vehicle and assist with luggage as needed.
• Document any vehicle damage and ensure keys are secured.
• Maintain a clean exterior area and be knowledgeable about local venues and attractions.

Revery is looking for someone passionate about working in the Hospitality Industry.

What will you be doing?

Objective:

• To provide a sense of arrival and departure consistent with Residence Inn by Marriott standards and hotel policies, while exceeding the guest’s expectations.

Responsibilities:

• To drive, park and return guests’ vehicles from point of arrival to designated area and to point of departure in a manner consistent with Residence Inn by Marriott standards and regulations.


• To achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction by providing quality service and maintaining performance standards.


• To resolve guest complaints, compliments and suggestions in a professional manner.


• Voluntarily carry luggage for guest checking in or out according to standards.
  Proactively communicate with internal colleagues to advise of guest arrival or particular service needs, issues or concerns as appropriate.


• To handle guest vehicles in such a manner that the guest will always find it as it was left (radio, seat, etc.).


• Greets all guests arriving by vehicle, and promotes valet parking as only hotel related parking option or clearly directs guest to appropriate public parking service if they prefer


• To document any damage on in-coming vehicles.


• To complete all documentation required.


• To keep vehicle keys secure.


• Ensure safety of guests and guests belongings.


• To retrieve guest luggage from guestrooms as required.


• Maintain positive internal and external relationships, familiarity with local venues, attractions, restaurants and events.


• To maintain a clean ground as necessary outside the front door.


• To provide guests with claim tickets for every item stored.


• To provide guests with transportation using only authorized and licensed vehicles.


• To maintain a neat and organized storage area for storage of guest belongings.


• Demonstrate a high level of integrity.


• To report for duty with a professional appearance and dress to standards.

Must have a valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must be eligible to work in Canada
