Job summary

Indigo Park Canada is seeking a motivated Valet Attendant for a downtown Halifax hospital location. You will greet guests, park and retrieve vehicles, and ensure safety and security of keys.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years driving experience and clean abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests to the property.
  • Park and retrieve vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect vehicles for damage prior to custody and ensure keys are secured.
  • Process guest transactions and validate tickets accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and comply with policies.
  • Assist guests with directions and inquiries.

We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and outgoing team players to join our Atlantic Canada team as a Valet Attendant, based at one of our hospital locations in downtown Halifax.

Operations
  • Greeting and welcoming guests to the property
  • Parking and retrieving vehicles in a timely fashion
  • Operating vehicles safely in confined areas and narrow spaces
  • Performing accurate inspections of vehicles for damage prior to taking into custody
  • Issue and collect valet tickets as required
  • Ensuring safe custody of keys in locked key box
  • Ensuring vehicles are locked after parking
  • Cleaning the work area, and parking area as needed, including key sanitization and litter pick up
  • Answering any questions that guests may have (providing directions, etc.)
  • Responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures
  • Conducting parking enforcement throughout the parking lot, including monitoring compliance with parking regulations and addressing unauthorized or improperly parked vehicles in accordance with company policies.
  • Processing and handling guest transactions accurately, including collecting payments and validating the tickets.
Customer Relationship
  • Build positive relationships with customers
  • Note the nature of complaints received by customers, and actively help develop and suggest solutions
  • Communicate verbally with customers and clients in English
Requirements
  • A valid Canadian driver's license (class 5) and clean driving abstract
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is an asset
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • High level of interpersonal skills, including poise and diplomacy
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Previous valet experience considered an asset
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Able to work outside in all weather (free uniform provided)
  • A minimum of three years driving experience
  • Able to operate a vehicle in confined spaces without damage
  • Successful candidates will be required to submit a Criminal Background and Driver abstract check.
