Job summary

Brian Jessel BMW is seeking a full-time Valet Driver to safely transport customer vehicles to and from the dealership for service appointments, deliveries, and pick-ups. You’ll coordinate with the Service team to ensure a seamless customer experience and maintain professional presentation at all times.

The role requires a valid BC driver’s license, strong customer-service skills, and the ability to work in a high-volume environment while meeting deadlines.

Summary of Position:

The Valet Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting customer vehicles to and from the dealership for service appointments, deliveries, and pick-ups. This role supports a seamless customer experience by coordinating vehicle movement with the Service team, maintaining clear communication, and ensuring every vehicle is handled with the highest level of care, professionalism, and attention to detail.

KPIs:
  • Ensures customer vehicles are picked up and returned safely, on time, and in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Communicates clearly with the Service team regarding vehicle location, timing, keys, and customer instructions.
  • Accurately matches customer vehicles, repair orders, keys, and pick-up or drop-off details.
  • Drives safely and cautiously at all times, obeying all traffic regulations and maintaining a zero-accident standard.
  • Treats customer vehicles and personal belongings with integrity; items are not touched or removed, and vehicle settings are left unchanged or returned to their original position.
  • Maintains professional presentation and customer-service standards when interacting with clients during vehicle pick-up and drop-off.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
  • Picks up customer vehicles from designated locations and transports them safely to the dealership for service.
  • Returns customer vehicles from the dealership to designated locations once service is complete.
  • Reviews pick-up and drop-off details, including customer instructions, addresses, timing, keys, and vehicle condition.
  • Conducts vehicle walkarounds before and after transport, noting visible damage, mileage, fuel level, and any customer concerns as required.
  • Communicates promptly with service advisors, coordinators, and customers regarding vehicle status, delays, or changes to timing.
  • Maintains efficient vehicle flow by moving customer vehicles between the Service Drive-Thru, service back lot, wash area, and designated pick-up or delivery areas.
  • Ensures all vehicles are parked safely, locked, and properly staged with keys handled according to dealership procedures.
  • Maintains professional, courteous communication when meeting customers at off-site pick-up or drop-off locations.
  • Supports the Service team with additional vehicle movement, dealership errands, and lot organization as required.
Job Specifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
  • Previous customer service experience with strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency with computer software and comfort learning new programs, including Microsoft Office and internet/cloud-based applications on smart devices.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work effectively with management, staff, customers, and external parties.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while managing pressure and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Compensation:

$19.00 to $20.00 per hour
