Job summary

Liburdi Turbine Services in Dundas, Prince Edward Island, is seeking a full-time Vacuum Heat Treat Operator to calibrate furnaces, monitor specifications, and ensure metallurgical integrity of turbine components.

The position offers a day shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm) with base wage of CAD 27.00–CAD 29.00 per hour. Successful candidates pass reference checks and accommodations are provided as needed.

  • Ability to work in a team with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate furnaces to maintain temperature, pressure, and time within specs.
  • Review technical specifications to understand treated materials and desired properties.
  • Inspect raw materials before and after heat treatment for size, shape, and quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance on heat treatment equipment to keep it running smoothly.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.

Job description

We are currently seeking a candidate who is qualified for the role of full-time Vacuum Heat Treat Operator. You will calibrate furnaces, monitor technical specifications, and ensure the metallurgical integrity of high-performance turbine components.

Base wage:$27.00 - $29.00 / hour

We have an opening on Day Shift. The hours will typically be Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):
  • Operate furnaces to ensure that temperature settings, pressure, and time durations are accurate and within specifications
  • Review technical specifications to understand the materials being treated and the desired properties
  • Inspect raw materials before and after heat treatment to ensure proper size, shape, and quality
  • Perform routine maintenance on heat treatment equipment to keep it running efficiently
  • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with company safety regulations and quality standards
Key Skill Requirements:
  • Ability to identify and fix equipment malfunctions or problems quickly
  • Good visual acuity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Basic math skills
Key Experience/Education:
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook an asset
  • Experience programming furnace controllers, reading furnace charts and verifying that performed heat treatments are in compliance with specifications an asset
